Establishment of Founding Parent Company - TAISEI Corporation

 

 
1873 - TAISEI Corporation was first established as the Okuragumi Shokai Company
 
1887 - Established the Nippon Doboku Co. Ltd. company (Japan’s first construction company)
 
1917 - Established the Okura Doboku Gumi Corporation (Japan’s first construction corporation)
 
1920 - Changed name to Nippon Doboku Corporation
 
1946 - Changed name to present business name of TAISEI Corporation
 
Now - TAISEI Corporation continues rapid growth into neighboring countries and throughout the World to become one of the largest Construction & Engineering Firms in the World.

 

Establishment of TAISEI Presence in the U.S.

 

 
1982 - TAISEI Corporation established TAISEI America Corporation in the U.S. and became incorporated with an office in New York, NY
- Eventually Becoming Today’s TAISEI Construction Corporation -
 
1985 - TAISEI America Corporation relocated its Headquarters to California to an office at 444 S. Flower Street, L.A.
 
1988 - TAISEI America Corporation relocated its Headquarters to E. Ocean Blvd, Long Beach
 
1989 - TAISEI Corporation established Hawaii Office in the Restaurant Row area of Honolulu, to better serve clients in the Pacific Region
 
1997 - TAISEI America Corporation becomes TAISEI Construction Corporation
 
1997 - TAISEI Construction Corporation opened a Northern California Branch Office in Palo Alto after demand for services expanded rapidly in this region
 
1998 - TAISEI Construction Corporation relocated the Hawaii branch office to its present location in the Dole Office Building, Honolulu
 
1999 - TAISEI Construction Corporation relocated the Northern California Branch office to its present location in San Jose’s North First Business District
 
2004 - TAISEI Construction Corporation relocated its Headquarters from Long Beach, to its present location in Cypress, CA
