The Reuse of Historic and Landmark structures presents its own range of challenges, and are often more complex than new construction. Taisei uses a comprehensive survey approach to understanding existing building systems, works with the design team to uncover and verify subsequent system improvements and alterations, and uses a modified design-build approach to achieve cost effective solutions to meeting today’s codes and regulations.

Taisei also has extensive experience working within occupied buildings, and can maintain functionality of existing tenants and residents, when required, during construction.
